LOVELAND, Colo. – On Monday, June 15, 2026, the Loveland Police Department received a report from a victim who disclosed allegations of sexual assault dating back to 2024. With the victim’s assistance, investigators identified 34-year-old Jeremiah Jon Patterson as the suspect. Patterson is a Colorado State
Trooper. The victim and Patterson know each other, and the reported crimes occurred while Patterson was off duty.
On Friday evening, June 19, investigators received information suggesting Patterson might travel to Loveland to locate the victim. Using investigative techniques, including Flock Safety camera technology, Loveland Police Officers quickly located Patterson and conducted a high-risk traffic stop based on probable cause. Patterson was taken into custody and subsequently booked into jail after being interviewed.
Patterson was booked into the Larimer County Jail on the following charge(s):
- CRS 18-3-402(1)(4)(a) Sexual Assault, Strongarm by Force (F3)
- CRS 18-3-203(1)(i) 2nd Degree Assault, Strangulation (F4)
Additional enhancement charges also applied
A booking photo may be obtained through the Records Division of the Larimer County Sheriff’s Office. Over the weekend, Magistrate Ryan set bond at $25,000 cash surety, with pre-trial restrictions.
“I truly commend the tremendous courage of the victim to come forward and disclose this nearly two-year old sexual assault allegation,” Chief Doran said. “I praise our investigators for their thorough work, and I appreciate the District Attorney’s partnership, along with support from the Colorado State Patrol.”
